Wargame: Red Dragon is a real-time strategy video game developed by Eugen Systems and released in April 2014 by Focus Home Interactive as a sequel to the Wargame: AirLand Battle from 2013. Similarly to the previous games from the franchise, it is set during the Cold War, but this time focuses on the East Asia region, introducing new nations of China, Japan, North Korea, South Korea, and ANZAC. The title allows you to command an army consisting of ground, air, and naval forces, and fight your opponent for area domination on 1:1 scale battlefields.StoryWargame: Red Dragon is set in an alternative version of history during the Cold War, where the Soviet Union doesn’t collapse. As a commander leading your troops, you will be able to experience first-hand the struggle between forces of NATO and Warsaw Pact in East Asia.Gameplay and Game ModesWargame: Red Dragon main mode is the single-player campaign which is split into two parts. The first one is turn-based and it gives you an overview of the entire region, where you can start your operations and move units between different regions or declare battles. The second one takes you to the battlefield, where you can command chosen units in real-time in order to defeat the opposing forces and either hold the region or take it back from the enemy.Battles take place on huge maps representing realistic areas on a 1:1 scale, containing several strategic locations you can capture. Once the battle starts you can deploy your units on the battlefield and move them around, order to shoot at the enemy units, make them fall back, change formations, and more. Because of how large the maps are, the game features an option to significantly zoom out the visible area.Alternatively, you can play skirmishes or join the multiplayer, where you can manually select what units you want to include in your deck, giving you an option to create a very unique combination of troops that will fit your individual taste and playstyle. There are over a thousand units available to choose from, including various types of soldier groups, tanks, helicopters, and warships from the Cold War era.ReceptionWargame Red Dragon received positive reviews. Reviewers praised the strategic value of the title and the gameplay that favors strategic thinking instead of fast clicking. They also appreciated the visuals and the fact that Red Dragon turned out to be an enhanced version of the previous games, improving the existing mechanics that proved to be working well but needed a little tweak, but at the same time introducing certain new solutions to make the title more enjoyable.

An intellectual who did not like intellectuals, a socialist who did not trust the state, a writer of the left who found it easier to forgive writers of the right, a liberal who was against free markets, a Protestant who believed in religion but not in God, a fierce opponent of nationalism who defined Englishness for a generation. Aside from being one of the greatest political essayists in the English language and author of two of the most famous books in 20th century literature, George Orwell was a man of many fascinating contradictions, someone who liked to go against the grain because he believed that was where the truth usually lay. George Orwell: English Rebel takes us on a journey through the many twists and turns of Orwell's life and thought, from the precocious public school satirist at Eton and the imperial policeman in Burma, through his early years as a rather dour documentary writer, down and out on the streets of Paris and London and on the road to Wigan pier, to his formative experiences as a volunteer soldier in the Spanish Civil War. Above all, the audiobook skilfully traces Orwell's gradual reconciliation with his country, a journey which began down a coal mine in 1936 to find its exhilarating peaks during the dark days of the Second World War. 1. It is 1805 and Ensign Richard Sharpe, having secured a reputation as a fighting soldier in India, is on his way home to join the newly formed Green Jackets. The voyage should be a period of rest but his ship is riven with treachery and threatened by a formidable French warship, the Revenant, which is terrorizing British shipping in the Indian ocean. An old opponent of Sharpe's is aboard his ship, and the voyage is further disturbed by the Lady Grace Hale, apparently as unreachable as she is beautiful. Sharpe also has friends, notably a captain of the Royal Navy who is hunting the Revenant and who rescues Sharpe when all seems lost. The hunt turns into a stern chase as the French warship races home, carrying a treaty that could ignite India into a new war against the British. Yet when the Revenant encounters the combined French and Spanish fleet of Cadiz, it seems that Sharpe's enemies have found safety, even as his enemies on board seem to have him trapped. Yet over the horizon is another fleet, led by Nelson, and Sharpe's revenge will come in a savage climax when the two armadas meet on a calm October day off Cape Trafalgar. Sharpe's Trafalgar introduces Richard Sharpe to the horrors of a battle at sea, and finds him at his most ruthless as he struggles not just for revenge, but for the woman he loves. 1. High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles! Samuel Houston (March 2, 1793? July 26, 1863) was a 19th century American statesman, politician, and soldier. Born on Timber Ridge, just north of Lexington in Rockbridge County, Virginia, in the Shenandoah Valley, Houston was a key figure in the history of Texas, including periods as President of the Republic of Texas, Senator for Texas after it joined the United States, and finally as governor. Although a slaveowner and opponent of abolitionism, he refused, because of his unionist convictions, to swear loyalty to the Confederacy when Texas seceded from the Union, bringing his governorship to an end. To avoid bloodshed, he refused an offer of an army to put down the rebellion, and instead retired to Huntsville, Texas, where he died before the end of the Civil War.
